The ethnographic Complex "Damascena" is situated in the famous Rose Valley, between the town of Kazanluk and the town of Pavel Banya.
The complex has a comfortable restaurant with 80 seats, bar and garden for walking and relax.
Damascena is the first private distillery in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1991 and today it is one of the most well known companies in that field. It is producing essential oils and the quality of its products is guaranteed and recognized around the world.
The complex is open to guests and tourists. It is a place where they can learn more about the essential oils production: from the modern technologies for extraction to the traditional methods that were used 350 years ago.
Along with this each visitor can test and try different kinds of essential oils and to learn more about their purpose.
The museum exhibition displays different methods for production and preserving the rose oil. The tour around our ethnographic exposition shows traditional old crafts characteristic for this area.
Our guests are invited to take a walk and relax in the beautiful rose-gardens in the park near the so-called chiflik (typical farm). The view from this place reveals breathtaking panorama to both the Balkan Mountains and the Sredna
Gora mountains. It is situated near a huge rose-garden planted with Rose Damascene from which is the rose oil produced.
In this surrounding our guests are welcome to enjoy every minute, to relax and to feel the positive energy of the roses.
